Being transparent with the community we serve is a big deal to us. Here we have the budget for the fire department that runs from October 1st, 2018 until September 30th, 2019. We operate on the bare bones of $23,500.00 that takes care of equipment, maintenance, supplies, etc. This also requires us to be picky when it comes to our equipment and what we can upgrade. It costs roughly $5,000.00 a firefighter to get the gear needed. Obviously, with such a tight budget gear can be neglected.
