In all of Putnam County there is only one paid station and the rest are volunteer. This means that unless you live inside of Palatka City chances are another Fire Department will arrive ahead of Palatka and they will be volunteer from one of the surrounding stations. Unlike other stations we do not charge for our services and rely solely on the volunteers and donations of others to operate.
